Anatomy of a Dwelling Fire
In March Detroit Fire Companies responded to a dwelling fire at Kensington and McKinny. Let’s do a walk through with these Firefighters as go to work fighting this fire.
On arrival they do a quick size up and then go into action:
Firefighter stretch hose lines to the front of the building:
A crew goes to the roof to ventilate and the nozzle men prepare to attack the fire through the front door:
Everyone is working as the Firefighters start to push the fire:
The fire panics and runs upstairs with Firefighters in hot pursuit:
The fire goes out and crews began the mop up:
The Fire engine operator comes over and yells "It’s Miller time. Let’s go home I’m getting cold":
Another job well done by Detroit Firefighters.
